Paper4trees was first introduced to the Hawkes Bay Region in 2007.

Since then, we have signed up a total of 181 schools and preschools!
That is the equivalent to 83% of all Hawkes Bay schools and 36% of all Hawkes Bay preschools.
 

Between 2007 and 2024, Hawkes Bay schools and preschools have:

• Diverted 5,456 tonnes of paper and cardboard from landfill
               - That's around the same as 1,165 elephants!

• Saved 43,650 cubic metres of landfill space

• Prevented 29,517 tonnes of carbon dioxide from being created in landfill
