Paper4trees was first introduced to the Hawkes Bay Region in 2007.

Since then, we have signed up a total of 183 schools and preschools!
That is the equivalent to 79% of all Hawkes Bay schools and 37% of all Hawkes Bay preschools.
 

Between 2007 and 2025, Hawkes Bay schools and preschools have:

• Diverted 5,652 tonnes of paper and cardboard from landfill
               - That's around the same as 1,207 elephants!

• Saved 45,218 cubic metres of landfill space

• Prevented 30,576 tonnes of carbon dioxide from being created in landfill
