Bay of Plenty

Paper4trees was first introduced to the Bay of Plenty Region in 2001.

Since then, we have signed up a total of
344 schools and preschools!
That is the equivalent to
93% of all Bay of Plenty schools and 54% of all Bay of Plenty preschools.

Between 2007 and 2019, Bay of Plenty schools and preschools have:

  • Diverted 9,319 tonnes of paper and cardboard from landfill
                 - That's around the same as 1,991 elephants!

  • Saved 74,551 cubic metres of landfill space

  • Prevented 50,322 tonnes of carbon dioxide from being created in landfill

Isn't this an amazing effort? We think so, which is why we have rewarded Bay of Plenty schools and preschools with a total of...

35,745 native trees! to plant in their school grounds or within their local community.
