Paper4trees was first introduced to the Taranaki Region in 2008.

Since then, we have signed up a total of 122 schools and preschools!
That is the equivalent to 92% of all Taranaki schools and 34% of all Taranaki preschools.
 

Between 2008 and 2025, Taranaki schools and preschools have:

​

• Diverted 4,384 tonnes of paper and cardboard from landfill
               - That's around the same as 936 elephants!

• Saved 35,072 cubic metres of landfill space

• Prevented 23,674 tonnes of carbon dioxide from being created in landfill

16,525 native trees! to plant in their school grounds or within their local community.
