Taranaki

Paper4trees was first introduced to the Taranaki Region in 2008.

Since then, we have signed up a total of
122 schools and preschools!
That is the equivalent to
93% of all Taranaki schools and 33% of all Taranaki preschools.

Between 2008 and 2024, Taranaki schools and preschools have:

  • Diverted 4,171 tonnes of paper and cardboard from landfill
                 - That's around the same as 832 elephants!

  • Saved 33,370 cubic metres of landfill space

  • Prevented 22,525 tonnes of carbon dioxide from being created in landfill

Isn't this an amazing effort? We think so, which is why we have rewarded Taranaki schools and preschools with a total of...

15,893 native trees! to plant in their school grounds or within their local community.
