Southland Region
Paper4trees was first introduced to the Southland Region in 2010.
Since then, a total of 138 schools and preschools have joined Paper4trees!
That is the equivalent to 93% of all Southland Region schools and 65% of all Southland Region preschools.
Between 2009 and 2020, Southland Region schools and preschools have:

-
Diverted 1,237 tonnes of paper and cardboard from landfill
- That's around the same as 309 elephants! -
Saved 9,897 cubic metres of landfill space
-
Prevented 6,680 tonnes of carbon dioxide from being created in landfill
Isn't this an amazing effort? We think so, which is why we have rewarded Southland Region schools and preschools with a total of...
5,247 native trees! to plant in their school grounds or within their local community.
