Paper4trees was first introduced to the Otago Region in 2009.

Since then, we have signed up a total of 233 schools and preschools!
That is the equivalent to 88% of all Otago schools and 62% of all Otago preschools.
 

Between 2009 and 2023, Otago schools and preschools have:

• Diverted 3,451 tonnes of paper and cardboard from landfill
               - That's around the same as 737 elephants!

• Saved 27,615 cubic metres of landfill space

• Prevented 18,640 tonnes of carbon dioxide from being created in landfill
