Paper4trees was first introduced to the Northland Region in 2008.

Since then, a total of 221 schools and preschools have joined Paper4trees!
That is the equivalent to 91% of all Northland schools and 31% of all Northland preschools.
 

Between 2008 and 2024, Northland schools and preschools have:

• Diverted 4,231 tonnes of paper and cardboard from landfill
               - That's around the same as 904 elephants!

• Saved 33,847 cubic metres of landfill space

• Prevented 22,846 tonnes of carbon dioxide from being created in landfill
