Gisborne

Paper4trees was first introduced to the Gisborne Region in 2007.

Since then, we have signed up a total of
52 schools and preschools!
That is the equivalent to
83% of all Gisborne schools

Between 2007 and 2024, Gisborne schools and preschools have:

  • Diverted 2,072 tonnes of paper and cardboard from landfill
                 - That's around the same as 442 elephants!

  • Saved 16,572 cubic metres of landfill space

  • Prevented 11,187 tonnes of carbon dioxide from being created in landfill

Isn't this an amazing effort? We think so, which is why we have rewarded Gisborne schools and preschools with a total of...

8,212 native trees! to plant in their school grounds or within their local community.
