Bay of Plenty
Paper4trees was first introduced to the Bay of Plenty Region in 2001.
Since then, we have signed up a total of 340 schools and preschools!
That is the equivalent to 89% of all Bay of Plenty schools and 55% of all Bay of Plenty preschools.
Between 2007 and 2024, Bay of Plenty schools and preschools have:
-
Diverted 13,294 tonnes of paper and cardboard from landfill
- That's around the same as 2,840 elephants! -
Saved 106,374 cubic metres of landfill space
-
Prevented 71,800 tonnes of carbon dioxide from being created in landfill
Isn't this an amazing effort? We think so, which is why we have rewarded Bay of Plenty schools and preschools with a total of...
49,171 native trees! to plant in their school grounds or within their local community.
