Bay of Plenty
Paper4trees was first introduced to the Bay of Plenty Region in 2001.
Since then, we have signed up a total of 344 schools and preschools!
That is the equivalent to 93% of all Bay of Plenty schools and 54% of all Bay of Plenty preschools.
Between 2007 and 2020, Bay of Plenty schools and preschools have:
-
Diverted 10,126 tonnes of paper and cardboard from landfill
- That's around the same as 2,575 elephants! -
Saved 81,014 cubic metres of landfill space
-
Prevented 54,684 tonnes of carbon dioxide from being created in landfill
Isn't this an amazing effort? We think so, which is why we have rewarded Bay of Plenty schools and preschools with a total of...
35,745 native trees! to plant in their school grounds or within their local community.
