Paper4trees was first introduced to the Auckland Region in 2007.

Since then, a total of 1,228 schools and preschools have joined Paper4trees!
That is the equivalent to 77% of all Auckland schools and 55% of all Auckland preschools.
 

Between 2007 and 2026, Auckland schools and preschools have:

• Diverted 16,583 tonnes of paper and cardboard from landfill
               - That's around the same as 3,544 elephants!

• Saved 132,688 cubic metres of landfill space

• Prevented 89,458 tonnes of carbon dioxide from being created in landfill
