Paper4trees was first introduced to the Auckland Region in 2007.

Since then, a total of 1,250 schools and preschools have joined Paper4trees!
That is the equivalent to 79% of all Auckland schools and 56% of all Auckland preschools.
 

Between 2007 and 2023, Auckland schools and preschools have:

• Diverted 16,145 tonnes of paper and cardboard from landfill
               - That's around the same as 3,450 elephants!

• Saved 124,340 cubic metres of landfill space

• Prevented 83,823 tonnes of carbon dioxide from being created in landfill
