Nelson Tasman

Paper4trees was first introduced to the Nelson Tasman Region in 2008.

Since then, a total of 57 schools and preschools have joined Paper4trees!
That is the equivalent to 85% of all Nelson Tasman schools and 10% of all Nelson Tasman preschools.
 

Between 2007 and 2020, Nelson and Tasman schools and preschools have:

• Diverted 1,404 tonnes of paper and cardboard from landfill
               - That's around the same as 351 elephants!

• Saved 11,235 cubic metres of landfill space

• Prevented 7,583 tonnes of carbon dioxide from being created in landfill

4,866 native trees! to plant in their school grounds or within their local community.
