Gisborne

Paper4trees was first introduced to the Gisborne Region in 2007.

Since then, we have signed up a total of
52 schools and preschools!
That is the equivalent to
90% of all Gisborne schools and 9% of all Gisborne preschools.

Between 2007 and 2020, Gisborne schools and preschools have:

  • Diverted 1,502 tonnes of paper and cardboard from landfill
                 - That's around the same as 200 elephants!

  • Saved 12,013 cubic metres of landfill space

  • Prevented 8,109 tonnes of carbon dioxide from being created in landfill

Isn't this an amazing effort? We think so, which is why we have rewarded Gisborne schools and preschools with a total of...

5,942 native trees! to plant in their school grounds or within their local community.
