Paper4trees was first introduced to the Manawatu-Wanganui Region in 2007.

Since then, a total of 249 schools and preschools have joined Paper4trees!

That is the equivalent to 96% of all Manawatu-Wanganui schools and 23% of all Manawatu-Wanganui preschools.

Between 2007 and 2014, Manawatu-Wanganui schools and preschools have:

  • Diverted 4,073 tonnes of paper and cardboard from landfill
                 - That's around the same as 679 elephants!

  • Saved 32,580 cubic metres of landfill space

  • Prevented 21,992 tonnes of carbon dioxide from being created in landfill

Isn't this an amazing effort? We think so, which is why we have rewarded Manawatu-Wanganui schools and preschools with a total of...

16,415 native trees! to plant in their school grounds or within their local community.

Stats for 2015 will be available late 2016.
