"We would like to express our appreciation to the sponsors of the Paper4trees programme for your generosity and ongoing donations of native plants to our kura over the years. On Thursday 7 June a group of students took part in the planting process of the native shrubs and it was truly an amazing experience enjoyed by all. Again, thanks so much for all your efforts and kind rewards, you truly do a wonderful thing."

"On World Environment Day we planted the trees in the Starfish outside area. We had wonderful help from Kim and Murray from Tauranga City Council and Nicky Adams from Shapes and Scapes (Landscaping), and Kaza Bowie from Opeys Education and Car, and of course the children in Starfish that helped dig the dirt and even tasted it!"
"Thank you all for helping. Thank you to all our sponsors for supplying the trees, and Paper4trees for organising the delivery of the trees."

About planting day - "Children worked in collaboration exploring their natural and physical environment gaining understanding on how things grow and responsibility on how to take care of living things."
"Children will continue with our current recycling programme and we will also provide more opportunities for children to take care of living things. This is children enquiring, researching, exploring, generating and modifying their own natural and physical working theories."

"We are excited to take part in Paper4trees next year; it is a lovely thing to receive a box of plants! Again, many thanks for your support in making our grounds look fabulous and in providing native New Zealand plants for us to learn about."

"On World Environment Day, three Fonterra representatives and the Mayor, Mr Hugh Vercoe, were there for the compost bin opening and we were presented with a plaque from Fonterra acknowledging their sponsorship.
We would like to thank you for being a part of this important day for not only Te Aroha Primary School but for our environment.
We would also like to thank you for donating all of the trees. It was a very memorable day and we are glad you were part of it. The plants you gave us are planted in front of our senior school. They look great. Thank you for your support."
